Cap off a perfect evening of turkey and holiday lights with a spirited concert at Omaha’s finest performing arts venue, the Holland Performing Arts Center, at 13th and Douglas streets. The Making Spirits Bright concert will be presented at 7 pm in the Holland Center’s Kiewit Concert Hall. The concert will feature some of Omaha’s best-known singers: Camille Metoyer Moten, Kathy Tyree, Paul Tranisi and Cabaret Theatre. The vocal artistry of 11-year-old Grace Bydalek will also be featured, as well as a set by the multi-talented performers of GBT Academy of the Arts.
The GBT Academy of the Arts will cap off the evening’s entertainment with a spirited performance featuring song, dance and instrumental music. Between 30 and 40 singers ranging in age from their teens to their forties will perform a medley of holiday songs. Next, six female dancers will perform creative dance to a popular Celine Dion song. Finally, three musicians will entertain the crowd with their saxophone-playing skills.
Following the GBT Academy of the Arts’ performance, all of the evening’s performers will return to the stage to lead the crowd in a holiday sing-a-long.
Tickets to the Making Spirits Bright concert are $5 each and available by calling Ticket Omaha at (402) 345-0606 or on-line at www.ticketomaha.org.
